Metrology and Testing Center

The Mechanical Industry Electrical Instruments and Meters Product Quality Inspection Center (Shanghai)/Mechanical Industry Second Metrology and Testing Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a third-party impartial testing and calibration laboratory approved by the China National Certification and Accreditation Administration, and is authorized by the Quality Work Department of the China Machinery Industry Federation as a testing center and a metrology and testing center. It undertakes product quality supervision and inspection of electrical instruments and meters and professional metrology and testing work in the mechanical industry. Over the years, in the product supervision and inspection and metrology testing of electrical instruments and meters, with the investment and support of the superior competent department and the parent unit Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute, the technical level and testing equipment have been continuously developed and improved, and it has grown into an important laboratory for instrument quality supervision and testing in the mechanical industry, and has played a due role in the scientific research and development and quality assurance of electrical instruments and meters in my country.

The center has a laboratory area of ​​500 square meters, of which 140 square meters is a standard testing room with constant temperature and humidity. With multiple testing instruments and equipment worth 3.5 million yuan imported from the United States, Canada, and Japan, the center maintains a first-class domestic level in terms of technical capabilities.
