The Party Members' Congress of Shangyi Institute was successfully held
On the morning of January 17th, our institute held a general meeting of all the party members. The agenda of this meeting included evaluating the work of the Party Committee in 2018, conducting a "one report and two evaluations" of the personnel selection and employment work of the institute in 2017-2018, electing new members of the Party Discipline Inspection Commission, and swearing in new party members.

On the morning of November 11th, 45 Party members, Youth League members, and staff from the Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery went to the National Wetland Park at Baotian in Wusong and the Shanghai Tower for their Party and Youth League activities. The theme of this event was "Striving for Progress on the New Journey, Re-embarking on Reform and Opening-up", aiming to allow the majority of the Institute's staff to personally experience the tremendous achievements Shanghai has made since the reform and opening-up, enhance their sense of gain and mission, and further strengthen the cohesion of the staff.

Party members of the Shangyi Institute watched the film "The Red Flag Flutters in the West Wind"
On October 26th, our Party organization organized the party members of each branch to watch the revolutionary historical documentary "The Red Flag Sweeps the Western Wind". The film, in the form of documents, film and television clips, and interviews with individuals, realistically reenacted the process of the Red Army's Long March, vividly recreating classic battles such as the four crossings of the Chishui River, the brave capture of the Luding Bridge, the climbing of snow mountains, and the crossing of grasslands during the Red Army's Long March, and showcased the extraordinary military talent of the first generation of Communist leaders, represented by Comrade Mao Zedong, and the spirit of the Red Army soldiers, who "fear neither hardship nor death", during the Long March.

"Drawing the Sword Against 'Micro-Corruption'" - A Vivid Party Lesson on Integrity
On the afternoon of June 29, 2018, Comrade Wu Qiuju, the Party Committee Secretary of our institute, delivered a very vivid anti-corruption party class to all the party members with the theme of "Facing 'Micro-Corruption'". The party class started with the theme of "Micro-Corruption", defined its definition, recounted its harm, and educated us with vivid cases on how to identify and prevent micro-corruption. At the end of the party class, it told some corruption examples that might happen around us in connection with reality, and put the "Four Responsibilities and Coordination" work in an important position. On July 1st, four young employees of our firm participated in the "July 1st" large-scale public welfare service project organized by Pingliang Road Sub-district, providing residents in the area with free computer repair and cleaning services. The event was bustling with people and the atmosphere was warm.
