"Strive for a new journey and embark on a new journey of reform and opening up" - The 2018 Party and League Day activities of the Shanghai Institute of Instruments were successfully held

On the morning of November 11th, 45 Party members, Youth League members, and staff from the Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery went to the National Wetland Park at Baotian in Wusong and the Shanghai Tower for their Party and Youth League activities. The theme of this event was "Striving for Progress on the New Journey, Re-embarking on Reform and Opening-up", aiming to allow the majority of the Institute's staff to personally experience the tremendous achievements Shanghai has made since the reform and opening-up, enhance their sense of gain and mission, and further strengthen the cohesion of the staff.

In the morning, everyone visited the Baotianwan Memorial Square. During the Opium War and the Battle of Songhu, this place was once a battlefield, witnessing the Chinese nation's struggle against foreign enemies, with countless virtuous men and women facing life and death to help the country in distress. Today, although the smoke has long dissipated, it reminds us to be prepared for danger in times of peace. Only when the country is prosperous and strong can the nation be rejuvenated and the people be happy. Subsequently, under the guidance of the coach, everyone carried out team-building activities. In the "Big Tree and Squirrel" game, everyone stretched and relaxed, relieving the pressure of daily work. In the "Passing the Torch" game, everyone brainstormed and came up with brilliant ideas. In the " United We Stand" game, everyone united and wrote "Unity, Progress, Innovation, and Pragmatism" - the spirit of Baotianwan.
In the afternoon, everyone visited the Shanghai Tower. During the visit, everyone learned in detail about the design, construction process, and functional orientation of the Shanghai Tower. Subsequently, everyone ascended to the Shanghai Peak viewing level located on the 118th floor to overlook the city's skyline, review the stormy course of the reform and opening-up in Pudong, and personally experience the prosperity and development of Shanghai today.
Through this event, the majority of the staff at Shanghai Instrument Institute have felt the tremendous changes that reform and opening-up have brought to Shanghai. Today, in the new era, we have embarked on a new journey, and the majority of our colleagues at Shanghai Instrument Institute will strive to forge ahead and contribute their strength to Shanghai's efforts to be a pioneer of reform and opening-up across the country.
