This spring, the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the normal life and work order of the employees of the Shanghai Instrument Institute. Since April, according to the city's epidemic prevention and control requirements, everyone has been working from home and staying at home to fight the epidemic. During this special period, due to factors such as limited logistics capacity, "difficulty in buying vegetables" has become a major problem in the daily life of employees. After learning about the relevant situation, the union of the institute took urgent action to help the employees, actively contacted various supply channels, coordinated with multiple parties, unblocked the logistics "blocking points", and purchased a batch of daily necessities, which were delivered to employees in recent days.

As a scientific research institute with a long history of nearly 60 years, generations of people from the Institute of Instruments have dedicated their youth and wisdom to the development of the institute at different times. Now, although they have retired and left their jobs, they are still our precious wealth. Due to their age, it is not easy for these old comrades to adapt to the emerging ways of purchasing daily necessities during the epidemic, such as online group buying. During this special period, the labor union of the institute did not forget these old comrades who have made contributions to the institute, and purchased a batch of daily necessities for the retired old model workers, old leaders, and old experts of the unit and delivered them to their doorsteps. I hope that this batch of materials from the unit where I have worked all my life can bring special warmth to these old comrades.

 

 

Cui Huahua is a seriously ill employee in our institute. Since she became ill in 2013, she has been the focus of the institute's labor union's care and condolences. Since the outbreak of this round of the epidemic, the community where she lives has been under lockdown for nearly a month due to the discovery of positive cases from time to time, and the daily necessities she prepared in advance have also run out. At this time, the supplies sent by the labor union of the institute have timely alleviated her urgent needs in life. No matter when, Shangyi Institute is the warm companion of this strong "female warrior" on her fight against cancer.

 

 

Zhang Xingyi and Chi Zhongliang are two security guards in our park at No. 214 Longjiang Road. They have been "sticking to" the park for nearly a month since April 1. Since the unit has no dormitory and the living conditions are relatively difficult, as the "guardians" of Shangyi, their daily life issues such as food and daily living also affect the hearts of the majority of Shangyi Institute employees. During the lockdown, the institute actively contacted Pingliang Road Street and other relevant departments to send vegetables and other daily necessities to the two, and the institute's labor union also purchased a batch of grain, oil, meat, eggs and other daily necessities to the park. In difficult times, I hope that this batch of daily necessities can bring warmth to the two Shangyi "guardians". At present, Shanghai is in a critical stage of accelerating the realization of the goal of zero social clearance. I believe that in the near future, the epidemic will soon dissipate and everyone will eventually return to normal life. In special times, the Shangyi Institute's labor union will, as always, provide help to employees in various aspects such as daily necessities and psychological counseling, and be a "caring person" for employees.
