A group of lively and inquisitive fourth-grade students walked out of the school gate, visited the scientific research building of the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, and learned about the history of the institute, gaining a glimpse of the development of science and technology in China.
The activities this time mainly consist of visits and interactive experiences. First, starting from the latest established history exhibition on the 7th floor of the Academy of Measurement, the explanations from the Academy of Measurement guides replace "speaking" with "questioning", attracting the attention of students and telling the teachers and students about the establishment of the Academy of Measurement, the process of the first Chinese typewriter (1011 Chinese typewriter) and the representative R&D products of the Academy of Measurement over the years. The activities integrate many interactive and experiential activities, allowing students to touch the real 1011 Chinese typewriter, visit the production workshop of the subordinate investment company, and experience the company's independently developed children's attention tester, jaundice meter, hearing meter and other instruments.
This science popularization activity has narrowed the distance between students and science and technology, stimulated their dream of exploring the vast stars of science, and planted the seeds of "Chinese Dream" and "Science and Technology Dream" in their young hearts, looking forward to these cute kids becoming the successors of China's science and technology career one day!
