Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute held a ceremony to award the "50 Years of Glory in the Party" commemorative medal

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on the morning of June 25th, the Party Committee of the Institute held a ceremony to present the "50 Years of Glory in the Party" commemorative medal, attended by all Party members and active members. A total of five comrades from our institute received the commemorative medal, with the longest party seniority of 68 years and the shortest of 54 years. Today's ceremony was solemn and simple, accompanied by warm applause, the Party Committee Secretary Wu Qiuju and the Director Teng Huaqiang hung the heavy commemorative medal around the chest of the old comrades.

Fifty years of party membership, fifty years of glory, the old comrades the care and commendation of the Party Central Committee with an extremely excited mood, and accept the salute and wishes of all party members. The old leader Yang Lingdi said with emotion: "Today is an unforgettable day, I am very excited. The Party Central Committee awarded us the commemorative medal in order to make every old party member remember and pass on the glorious traditions of the Party, not to forget the oath of joining the party, to strive for the cause of the party for life, this is a glorious sign, and also a sign of responsibility." The old soldiers of the volunteer army, Lu Rui Zhang, said excitedly: "I joined the party after the test of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and I am already 90 years old this year. I have witnessed the tragic scene of the old China with broken mountains and rivers and people living in poverty, and it is the Communist Party of China that led the people to overthrow the three mountains, which made me have the opportunity to witness the country from standing up, becoming rich to becoming strong. I hope the young people will follow the Communist Party and strive for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The old comrades spoke one after another about the moment they joined the party, about the years of passion... Time flies, the original intention is not forgotten, and it deeply infects every party member present.
Party Secretary Wu Qiuju highly praised the old pioneers as the witnesses and writers of the history of the Institute, commending their love for the Party, their dedication to the Party's cause and the scientific research cause of the Institute, and their selfless dedication of their youth to the Party's cause. Their spirit of dedication is a vivid textbook for us to move forward, and it is a precious spiritual wealth of our Institute. She called on all Party members and Youth League members to learn from the old pioneers' fine style, continue the red gene, take over the baton, and run the race of the Institute's development.
On the afternoon of June 25th, Party Secretary Wu Qiyan specially went to the nursing home to present a commemorative medal to the retired leader Wu Qiyuan, who was hospitalized. (Office of the Instrument Factory, June 25, 2021)
