Exploring the red mark of the integration of "history" and "technology" - the first joint construction group of the Shanghai Academy of Sciences' party building joint construction activities and party history study and education field visit activities

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the mobilization meeting for the study and education of Party history, and in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology for the study and education of Party history, the Party Committee of the Shanghai Institute of Instrument and Meter as the leading unit of the first Party building joint construction group of the Institute, organized the Party branches of the joint construction group to carry out the joint construction activities and the on-site visit activities for the study and education of Party history at Yangshupu on the afternoon of June 2nd. This activity also received a warm response from the Party members and cadres of the first Party branch of the Institute's office, the Party branch of the Nanometer Center, the Party branch of the Brain Prevention Institute, and the KeYao Party branch, with a total of more than 70 participants.

To know the great way, the history of the Qing history is a mirror. Yangpu has a profound historical heritage of a century of industrial civilization and a century of municipal civilization. This event has come to Yangshupu on the banks of the Huangpu River. This is the site of the century-old waterworks, the place where the historical martyr Yun Deying was arrested, and also the place where the history and technology of the old Yihao silk factory and the Qingcaosha water source water supply technology and equipment verification base are integrated.
In the drizzling rain, everyone came to the Yangshupu Water Supply Science and Technology Museum, which is themed. The exhibition hall inside the museum has an area of about 700 square meters, and there are 148 exhibits. The Science and Technology Museum is divided into a basement and two floors above ground, namely "History • Source", "Modern • Technology" and "Future • Planning", which show the past, present and future of Shanghai's water supply.
The second stop took everyone to the Qingcaoshan Water Source Water Supply Technology and Equipment Verification Base, one of the five engineering verification bases of the National Engineering Research Center for Urban Water Resources Development and Utilization (Southern), which mainly focuses on the original water of the Qingcaoshan Reservoir as the research object, explores and verifies the process feasibility of different water purification processes for treating the original water of Qingcaoshan, evaluates the purification capacity of the existing water plant conventional treatment process, and analyzes and summarizes the water pollution problems existing in the original water and the conventional treatment process effluent.
On the second floor of the base, Teacher Rong Jie from the Pingliang Community Party Working Committee shared the story of the historical martyr Yuan Daiying's arrest, and told the stories of the predecessor of the base—the story of the British-owned Yihai Cotton Mill in Shanghai. The former bond laborers first appeared in the British-owned Yihai Cotton Mill in Shanghai in 1897. The bonded workers were overworked, had poor nutrition, and lacked sleep, so they were all pale, weak, and sick without treatment. In comparison to the hardships before liberation, everyone felt that the peaceful life under the leadership of the Communist Party of China was harder won and more precious to cherish.
The on-site visit of the Party history learning and education concluded with the applause of the Party members. The Party organizations of the participating units expressed their affirmation of the event. The event was carefully organized, well-arranged, and rich in content. Through this event, we read the history of the city, drew on the history of Shanghai's development from the opening of the port, liberation to reform and opening up, traced the red memory, fully displayed the historical picture of Yangpu's hundred years under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and at the same time understood the innovation and development of China's water conservancy and efficient technological innovation. More profoundly, we learned and experienced the important concept of General Secretary Xi Jinping on "the people's city".
