On the afternoon of January 18th, the 9th session of the workers' Congress of the Institute was held, which was the first full meeting held after the new batch of workers' representatives took office.

At the meeting, Director Teng Huaqiang delivered a report on the "Summary of the Work of the Shanghai Instrument and Instrument Research Institute in 2018 and the Key Points of the Work in 2019" and a report on the "Use of the Business Entertainment Funds of the Research Institute in 2018", reporting to the staff representatives on the development of various work of the research institute in 2018, and explaining the key points of the research institute's work in 2019 and the future development planning and talent team building issues that the majority of the staff are concerned about.
Comrade Wu Qiuju, the chairman of the trade union, representing the trade union of the institute, made a report on the "Summary of the Work of the Current Trade Union for Five Years", reviewing and summarizing the work done by the eighth trade union of the institute during the five years, and putting forward suggestions for the work of the next trade union. Comrade Jiang Xiaolin, a member of the audit committee, made a report on the "Summary of the Work of the Current Audit Committee for Five Years", detailing the income and expenditure and the use of the trade union funds over the past five years.
The four reports were adopted by acclamation after careful consideration by the Deputies.
Subsequently, in accordance with the prescribed procedures, the members of the ninth union committee and the members of the union financial review committee were elected.
Afterwards, the Party Committee of the Institute commended Comrade Zhou Zhixuan, who had outstanding performance and was recognized by the majority of the staff in the past year, as well as the commendable staff, excellent volunteers, and those who had brought honor to the Institute and had been awarded the title of "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member of the Shanghai Science and Technology System".
Finally, Comrade Wu Qiuju, the Party Secretary, summarized the meeting. He expressed his gratitude for the hard work of the eighth union committee over the past five years and hoped that the newly elected union committee would not disappoint the trust and hope of the employees, strengthen their learning, exercise their abilities in all aspects, and provide a guarantee for the employees to exercise their rights to protect their legal rights and participate in the democratic management of the institute.
