The seventh plenary session of the eighth workers' Congress of Shanghai Institute of Instrument and Measurement was held in the multi-functional hall of the auxiliary building of the Institute on January 19, 2018. 22 formal representatives and 7 alternative representatives attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the representatives listened carefully to the report on the "Summary of Work of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute in 2017 and Key Points of Work in 2018" by Comrade Teng Huaqiang, the director, and the report on the "Summary of Work of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute Trade Union in 2017 and Key Points of Work in 2018" by Comrade Wu Qiuju, the chairman of the trade union. They also listened to the report on the "Summary of Work of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute Trade Union Financial Review Report in 2017" by Comrade Jiang Xiaolin, a member of the Finance Review Committee, and the use of administrative entertainment expenses of the institute.

This grand assembly is guided by the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, comprehensively summarizing and reviewing the work of 2017, focusing on discussing and gathering the main work of 2018. Focusing closely on the economic work of the研究所, sorting out the ideas, leveraging innovation, leading sustainable development with scientific and technological innovation, transforming industry advantages into the technological advantages of enterprises, and promoting the economic development of enterprises.

The workers' constructive proposals received by this general meeting number four, and the three reports were passed by a show of hands.
