Study the 19th CPC National Congress and comprehend the core socialist values of the new era — Shanghai Institute of Instruments holds a party members' meeting

On November 15, 2017, the Party Committee of the Institute held a party member meeting, during which all the party members, active members of the party, and some youth members under the age of 35 listened to the party class report given by Comrade Wu Qiuju, the Party Secretary, with the theme of "Learning the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Understanding the Core Values of Socialism in the New Era".

On November 15, 2017, the Party Committee of the Institute held a party member meeting, during which all the party members, active members of the party, and some youth members under the age of 35 listened to the party class report given by Comrade Wu Qiuju, the Party Secretary, with the theme of "Learning the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Understanding the Core Values of Socialism in the New Era".

Comrade Wu Qiuju, based on his own study of the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, outlined the main points of the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and combined with the vivid examples of Dr. Zhi Bingyi, a的老一辈科学家, who invented "see the word and recognize the code" in adversity, he expounded the spirit of "patriotism and dedication" of the older generation of scientific researchers; with the example of the "six-foot alley", he discussed the truth that officials should be convinced by virtue and the people should be harmonious and tolerant; with the contrast of differences in urban construction, he revealed the contradictions and focal points existing in social development... He expounded that the core values of socialism in the new era are also an important part of the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era, providing spiritual guidance for the people.

At the meeting, Li Hongzhen, Gu Bingyi, and Ji Beichen, three young Party members, spoke on the topic "The Scientists I Admire", sharing vivid examples of the older generation of scientific researchers who are indifferent to fame and fortune, dedicated to scientific research, tireless, and committed to overcoming difficulties, devoting their youth to the cause of science. They presented these ordinary yet extraordinary stories that happened around them to the young comrades, inspiring and encouraging them.

Before the end of the meeting, Comrade Wu Qiue, on behalf of the Party Committee of the Institute, made arrangements for the current study of the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the work within the Party before the end of the year.
