To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese people's war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the world's anti-fascist war, the 90th anniversary of the May 30th Movement and the establishment of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, the "Search for Red Footprints - 2015 Shanghai Urban Orienteering Competition for the Science and Technology System", sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Federation of Trade Unions, kicked off passionately at the International Conference Hall of the Academy of Science on Nanchang Road on the morning of November 28th.

This orienteering event mainly takes "teamwork, completing tasks, and discovering new knowledge" as the main line of the activity, leading everyone to follow the red footprints of Shanghai, allowing young scientists and engineers in Shanghai to understand the city they study, work, and live in, and to measure the development trajectory of Shanghai with their own footsteps.

I sent out 5 staff members, forming a young team with an average age of 30, all of whom participated in the competition for the first time. However, during the competition, they all gave it their all, pooled their wisdom, and made contributions to the team. Although the team I sent did not win a ranking in this competition, the team members said that the urban orientation competition has a low threshold for participation, a wide range of participants, and integrates leisure and entertainment with sports competition, which is a healthy and fashionable way of exercise. I hope more colleagues can participate in such activities next year, and experience, understand, and love Shanghai together.
