November 24-26, 2017, the Working Group on Engineering Education Accreditation of the Higher Education Instrument and Instrumentation Class of the Ministry of Education held the third preparation seminar for the engineering education accreditation of the instrument and instrumentation specialty in Nanjing.

Professor Teng Huaqiang, director of the Organizing Committee of the China Smart Instrument and Instrument Design Competition, director of the Shanghai Institute of Instrument and Instrument, vice president of the Internet Branch of the Chinese Society of Instrument and Instrument, and executive vice president of the Shanghai Society of Instrument and Instrument, went to Nanjing to specifically report on the recent work of the competition and the phased achievements and summary of the competition over the past three years.

Professor Zeng Zhomwe, the director of the Education Ministry's Instrumentation and Apparatus Teaching Steering Committee and the dean of the School of Precision Instruments and Optoelectronic Engineering at Tianjin University, pointed out that the competition should be accurately positioned, closely linked to the production, research, and education, connect universities, scientific research institutes, and the industry, integrate across borders, specialize and strengthen, persevere for a long time, not lose the craftsmanship, and build a big brand.

Zhang Tong, Deputy Secretary General of the China Instrument and Meter Society, encouraged the competition's organizing committee to always keep the competition's mission and vision in mind, to create value for society, to aggregate industry resources, to make solid achievements, and to strive to become a first-class competition recognized by the industry, promoting the development of the industry circle. Zhang also required that the progress of the competition and related major activities should be reported to the society and the teaching committee in a timely manner, to clarify the situation and difficulties in the work, and the society and the teaching committee are willing to guide the competition, which is to help the industry's innovation and entrepreneurship activities and support the industry to improve.

The whole special report was conducted in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. At the end, Deputy Director Zhang also talked about the details of the review and awarding of the China Instrument and Instrument Society - "Tang Hui Electronics" Scholarship, as well as the work deployment of the scholarship defense session to be held in Shanghai Jiao Tong University in December this year.
