The Party Committee of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute studied and implemented the spirit of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee

On May 13, the Party Committee of Shanghai Instrument Institute held an online study meeting of the Party Committee Central Group, and members of the leadership team and Party Committee members attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Party Committee Secretary Wu Qiujue conveyed the spirit of the enlarged meeting of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee held on the evening of May 5. The meeting required the conscientious study and implementation of the spirit of the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee chaired by General Secretary Xi Jinping and the important speech of General Secretary Xi (hereinafter referred to as the "Spirit of the Meeting"). Party members in the city should earnestly unify their thoughts and actions with the spirit of the General Secretary's important speech and the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee, unswervingly adhere to the general policy of "dynamic zeroing", be good preachers, practitioners and intimate people, make concerted efforts, seize the opportunity, and win the battle to defend Shanghai.

The members of the Party Committee Central Group took the spirit of the meeting as the theme, combined with participating in anti-epidemic prevention and control, and the subsequent resumption of work and production of enterprises, to carry out study, discussion and exchanges. Party Committee member Wu Weihua said that the spirit of the meeting summarized the previous experience in epidemic prevention and control, and pointed out the direction for the next step of epidemic prevention and control. As grassroots party members and cadres, at this important moment, we must not only be good volunteers, but also be good preachers, demonstrators and caring people. We must not slack off, and strive to achieve dynamic zeroing of the social face as soon as possible with high morale. Party committee member and director Teng Huaqiang said in his speech that this round of epidemic is a severe test for us. We must resolutely implement the general policy of "dynamic zeroing" under the leadership of the Party Central Committee to achieve victory in the fight against the epidemic with as little loss as possible. At present, under the situation of stable and positive trend of epidemic prevention, we must plan ahead and prepare for the resumption of work and production of enterprises in advance. Party committee member Yao Liang said that the epidemic is an order. On the day of receiving the notice from the Organization Department of the District Party Committee, he quickly went down to the street where he was located to participate in epidemic prevention work. At present, we must go all out with the "big white" and "small blue" to implement the spirit of the meeting and rely closely on the masses to fight the people's war. Party committee member Chen Yulin said in his speech that the spirit of the meeting emphasized that we won the battle to defend Wuhan, and we will definitely win the battle to defend Shanghai. This is an encouragement and important spur to Shanghai's anti-epidemic prevention and control work, and it has strengthened our confidence in winning the fight against the epidemic. Jia Feng, a member of the Jiusan Society and deputy director of the institute, said that the democratic parties, from the perspective of participating in politics and policy-making, first responded to the call, paired up with elderly scientific and technological workers, and invested in epidemic prevention work. Second, use professional knowledge to provide advice and suggestions for epidemic prevention work through the expert group.

Wu Qiujue, the leader of the Shanghai Institute of Instruments who went to the front line to support the fight against the epidemic and the party secretary, briefly reviewed his experience and feelings of participating in the fight against the epidemic in the street where he went down. He believed that the central government’s judgment on the epidemic prevention situation in Shanghai was correct, and that the general policy of "dynamic zeroing" should be adhered to. In the next step of epidemic prevention work, there should be "three hearts". First, there should be confidence in winning the battle to defend Shanghai. With General Secretary Xi at the helm and the support of the people across the country, the whole city will unite as one and will surely defeat the epidemic and win. Second, there should be perseverance in winning the tough battle. After more than 40 days of static management in the whole area, we have seen a stable and positive trend in the epidemic prevention situation in Shanghai. We must overcome war-weariness, persist a little longer, and work harder to welcome the dawn of victory in epidemic prevention. Third, there should be determination to defeat the epidemic. When the epidemic hit, we saw many people around us who rose to the challenge. Among them were professional medical staff, and more were thousands of volunteers composed of Communist Party members, Communist Youth League members and ordinary citizens, fully demonstrating the strong will of the whole people to fight the epidemic.
