Being a good assistant to the "alley prime minister"——Xie Yimin, a member of the front-line anti-epidemic team of the Shangyi Institute, supported the work of Pingwang Residential Committee in Huangpu District

Pingwang Residential Committee in Huangpu District is under the jurisdiction of Nanjing East Road Subdistrict, with more than 3,000 residents. A considerable number of residents in this area live in the winding old lanes and old buildings. The residents here have relatively warm relations with their neighbors, and have retained a lot of "smoke and fire" in life. However, due to the shared kitchen and the lack of independent sanitary facilities for each household, the epidemic prevention and control work of Pingwang Residential Committee has become more "heavy" in this round of epidemic.

However, due to the shared kitchen and the lack of independent sanitary facilities for each household, the epidemic prevention and control work of Pingwang Residential Committee has become more "heavy" in this round of epidemic.

Unexpectedly, on May 4 this year, at this great historical moment of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the League, as a young party member and league cadre of the Shanghai Instrument Institute, and as a member of the front-line anti-epidemic team of the Shanghai Instrument Institute, I immediately accepted the call of the organization and joined the city's science and technology system anti-epidemic vanguard commando, spending the most unforgettable "May 4th" Youth Day in the most special way. From May 5, I and four team members went to Pingwang Residential Committee under the leadership of the temporary branch of the commando to support the anti-epidemic work and contribute my own strength to winning the key battle of "breaking through the key points" of the Huangpu epidemic.

The following are my small insights from the past two weeks of work. I want to record what may be the most special, unforgettable and meaningful experience in my life.

Be a good "planner"

Nucleic acid testing is an important part of epidemic prevention and control work. Most residents of Pingwang Community live in old lanes and buildings along the street. Therefore, there is a lack of wide public areas where residents live, which makes it difficult for people to maintain a safe distance and accept tests in an orderly manner during nucleic acid testing. Together with my team members, we have worked together to plan the flow of personnel and entry and exit plans for nucleic acid testing points based on the actual conditions of each nucleic acid testing point, such as the terrain and residential distribution of residents; and continuously optimized the nucleic acid testing work plan for the points by setting two-meter line signs, placing temporary isolation fences, and improving the "shouting" sequence. Under limited conditions, we have tried our best to ensure that there is no crowd gathering or hedging during the test, and reduce the risk of cross-infection between residents due to nucleic acid testing.

Through our joint efforts, at Lane 267, Beihai Road, a secondary old residential community with nearly 300 residents, the team members can complete about 120 nucleic acid tests per hour, effectively cooperating with the medical support team to complete the nucleic acid testing task of the site on time every day. Seeing that the testing order at the site is becoming more and more orderly and the testing efficiency is getting higher and higher every day, our team is proud of the achievement of "building a temple in a snail shell".

Be patient and meticulous and be a good "statistician"

There are a large number of migrant population and mobile personnel among the residents of Pingwang Residential Committee. It is not easy to do a good job in population statistics of various residential communities and buildings. However, it is a basic work to find out the situation of each household to achieve the "four responses and four efforts" work requirements of epidemic prevention and control and accurately distribute daily necessities to each household. Faced with difficulties, my team members and I rose to the challenge. Based on the preliminary work of the Residential Committee and other support teams, we gradually improved the "one household, one file" list through comparison with daily nucleic acid test participants, telephone contact, on-site surveys, etc., and did a good job of dynamic updating.

Although the work of statistics and daily dynamic updates for nearly 1,000 personnel is boring and arduous, and does not allow for carelessness or mistakes, our team of five has no complaints and cooperates with each other to improve work efficiency. Sometimes we work overtime to complete personnel data statistics and dynamic updates in a timely manner. Complete, accurate and timely data guarantee has laid a solid foundation for achieving the "four responses and four efforts" in epidemic prevention and control and distributing daily necessities to each household as required.

Take the initiative to speak up and be a good "propagandist"

As a young party member, under the leadership of team leader Zhao Yan, I took the initiative to speak out and act as a good propagandist on the front line of the fight against the epidemic. Faced with residents who have been under lockdown at home for nearly two months, I actively preached the city's epidemic prevention requirements, listened to everyone's demands and opinions and suggestions on epidemic prevention work with "empathy", and made good voices, advocating that the majority of residents actively cooperate with epidemic prevention work, and work together to overcome the epidemic as soon as possible and return to normal life. As a member of the team, I and another companion actively undertook the compilation of the team's daily report, counted the team's daily work results, discovered the shining points of teammates, and actively spread the "positive energy" of the fight against the epidemic.

The work done by our team members every day is ordinary and common. Compared with the scientific research and management work of their respective positions, it is not very complicated, but it is not easy to do these jobs well in the special period of epidemic prevention and control. After a period of joint efforts by the neighborhood committee staff, various support teams, resident volunteers and the strong cooperation of residents in epidemic prevention work, the current epidemic prevention and control situation in Pingwang is constantly improving. However, in the battle against the new coronavirus day and night, I deeply understand that it is far from time to relax and take a break. If the epidemic prevention work is slightly relaxed, the efforts made in the early stage may be wasted. Daily nucleic acid screening, environmental disinfection, material supply and other work, we still need to complete them as required with quality and quantity. Although it has become a habit to put on and take off the "big white" protective clothing twice a day, I still have to constantly remind myself not to be careless and try my best to actively participate in anti-epidemic support work on the premise of protecting myself. I believe that as long as we work together, the goal of "safety in sight" will eventually be achieved, people's lives will eventually be as usual, and we will eventually take off our masks freely and breathe every breath of fresh air. The special experience of supporting the frontline anti-epidemic work during this period, whether it is the deep comradeship or the ups and downs in supporting the frontline anti-epidemic work, will become the most precious memory in my life, and is worth remembering and recalling.
