In the "Four Histories" learning and education activities launched this year, the Party Committee of Shangyi Institute has planned the "Red Footsteps Monthly Visit" field visit activity, which makes full use of Shanghai's rich red resources from July to October (i.e., the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China to the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China). By carrying out field visits to memorial venues and revolutionary sites every month, we can understand the relevant history, feel the past glorious years of the pioneers, and deeply understand the rich connotation of the "Four Histories".
The first stop was "The Starting Point: The Shanghai Wharf Where the Young French People Set Off" and a visit to the Yangpu Riverside Public Space, where General Secretary Xi walked; followed by a visit to the former site of the Youth League Central Committee and the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China on the day of the highest temperature of the year; on the special day of "September 18", watching the movie "The Eight Hundred" and visiting the Shanghai Revolutionary History Museum... The Party members listened attentively to the explanation of the red stories that happened on this land of Shanghai, and paused to look carefully at the historical artifacts, whether it was the workers who sold labor on the Fudian Wharf in the past, whether it was the passionate youth of China in the revolutionary period, whether it was the "Eight Hundred" heroes in the Four Banks Warehouse, whether it was the heroes and great men in the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, all of which made us feel that every step of the birth of the new China was not easy.
Through the "Four Histories" learning and education theme series of Party Day activities, "Visiting the Red Footsteps Every Month", Party members and Youth League members have revisited history and felt the great patriotism and the indomitable spirit of the Chinese nation. Our Party members in the new era, especially the young ones, have not experienced the baptism of war or the difficulties and dangers of the country's transition from standing up to becoming prosperous. Only through learning the "Four Histories" can they have a deeper understanding and experience of the Chinese Communist Party's journey of nearly a hundred years. The activities inspire the comrades of the Institute of Shanghai to revisit the revolutionary history, continue the red blood, remember the original aspiration and mission, and constantly draw on the powerful courage, spiritual strength, and wisdom experience to forge ahead with excellent achievements to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party.
