The Party Committee of the Shangyi Institute awarded commemorative medals to veterans who participated in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea

On October 26, 2020, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' participation in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, the Party Secretary of our institute, Wu Qiuju, and others, made a special visit to the home of Lu Duanzhang, a retired cadre who had participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, to express their concern. On behalf of the superior Party organization, they presented him with the Medal of the 70th Anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' Participation in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission, and also presented him with flowers. Party Secretary Wu Qiuju said, "Thank you for your contribution to the country by going to Korea to participate in the war. The people will not forget, history will not forget, and we pay tribute to you!" The old volunteer Lu Rui Zhang, with great emotion, recalled the experience of going to Korea to participate in the war 70 years ago, saying, "The victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea has brought peace and tranquility to the motherland. It was worth it in this life..."
