In September, on the 89th anniversary of the "September 18th" incident, under the organization of the institute's party committee, party members, party members, and active members of the party watched the film "The Eight Hundred". The film "The Eight Hundred" is based on the "Suzhou Lake Battle" at the beginning of the Chinese War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in 1937. In order to cover the retreat of 500,000 Chinese troops to the west, a detachment was ordered to remain in the "Four Banks Warehouse" in Shanghai and fight against tens of thousands of Japanese troops,-lasting for four days and four nights. To boost morale, this detachment of more than 400 men, known as the "Eight Hundred Heroes", claimed to have 800 men. After the screening, everyone couldn't help but express their thoughts and feelings, and they all agreed that the film has very good educational significance. They expressed that the current peaceful life is hard won and they will cherish their current work and life even more.
After the film, the group from the Academy of Fine Arts visited the Shanghai Museum of Revolutionary History to see the exhibition "Never forget the Initial Heart; The Great Journey - The Exhibition of Red Cultural Relics and Historical Materials from the Founding of the Party to the Founding of the Nation". The exhibition, with the clues of the First National Congress of the CPC, the first cooperation between the KMT and the CPC, the Long March, the establishment of the Anti-Japanese National United Front, and the War of Liberation, led everyone to review the historical period from the founding of the Party in 1921 to the founding of the nation in 1949, when the Chinese Communist Party led the Chinese people to achieve national liberation and establish a new China. The preface of the Communist Manifesto in various languages, the first officially published central organ newspaper of the CPC, The Guide, and the anti内war comics created by students of Tongji, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Jiaotong University, made this history come alive.
History serves as a mirror to show the rise and fall. Through this film and exhibition viewing event, the "Four Histories" learning and artistic appreciation are organically integrated, enriching the learning forms, enabling everyone to draw more nourishment from the study of "Party history, history of the construction of New China", and everyone is more soberly aware of the responsibilities and historical missions they bear, and all express their determination to devote themselves to their work and study with greater enthusiasm, to be down-to-earth, not to forget the original intention, to remember the mission, and to forge ahead.
