Party members of the Shangyi Institute visited the Memorial Hall of the Former Site of the Communist Youth League Central Committee and the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China

The Party Committee of Shanghai Institute of Instrument and Meter has planned and organized this year for all the Party members in the Institute to carry out the "Four Histories" learning and education - the Red Footprint monthly visit activities, which plan to make full use of Shanghai's rich red resources from July to October (i.e., from the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China to the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China). The activities will visit memorial venues and revolutionary sites to carry out on-site visits, understand the relevant history, and through the on-site visit learning and education method once a month, feel the past glorious years of the pioneers and deeply understand the rich connotation of the "Four Histories".

In the sweltering August sun, on the 13th day of the scorching August, the "Four Histories" learning and education theme series of the Party Committee of Shangyi Institute, "Visiting Red Footprints Every Month," has resumed its second stop: a visit to the former site of the Youth League Central Committee and the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. This month's visit is specially invited to the members of the Shanghai Institute of Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Control, as part of the joint Party building activities.

On the bustling and fashionable Huaihai Middle Road, a turn and the Party members and Youth League members walked into an unassuming alley, into another world away from the hustle and bustle, into the Red Wall and black tiles of No.6 Yuyangli, the former site of the Central Committee of the Youth League. This place is a tranquil world. This red starting point for Chinese youth shows us the development history of the Communist Youth League of China, and the spirit of self-improvement and progress of the young heroes in various periods. Our young Party members and Youth League members pause in front of the photos of great men of similar age, savoring the revolutionary journey of the Central Committee of the Youth League and the style of the predecessors, returning to the most glorious years of the beacon fire in Yuyangli, rekindling the red prime years, feeling the inspirational and strong spirit of the great men in their youth, and enhancing the Party's nature among the young Party members and Youth League members.

Then, the party members and youth league members came to Xingye Road, not far from the new Yuyangli, where the bricks on the exterior wall are interwoven with red and black bricks, and the black wooden doors are equipped with a pair of heavy copper rings. This is the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the place where the Chinese Communists began their dream, and as a landmark of the red starting point, it is the most precious material for our "Four Histories" study and education. Every brick and tile of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, every spot of the vicissitudes of time, is telling people about the glorious history of that time: on July 23, 1921, the historic step of the Chinese Communist Party to establish the new China was taken from this simple and elegant shikumen - the Chinese Communist Party was born here.

Maybe many Party members have visited the site of the First National Congress of the CPC more than once, but every time they have new experiences and gains. This time, everyone visited the "Great Beginning - Exhibition of the History of the Establishment of the CPC". The special exhibition areas such as "going forward and backward to save the nation", "the meeting of the wind and clouds to establish the Party", and "the gathering of the heroes to open up a new world" were visited again, and the relief of the group of representatives of the First National Congress of the CPC was admired once again, and a large number of physical objects, video pictures were carefully read.

By visiting the former site of the Central Bureau of the Youth League and the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the party members and youth league members comrades reviewed history, felt the spirit of patriotism and national unity, and more importantly, transformed inspiration into learning motivation and sense of responsibility for the scientific and technological workers. As the party members in the new era, especially the young party members, have not experienced the baptism of war, have not experienced the difficulties and dangers of the country from standing up to becoming rich, only through learning the "Four Histories" can we have a deeper understanding of the glorious years of the Communist Party of China and experience the difficult journey of the Party in the revolution and struggle.
