In mid and late December 2019, all the Party branches of our institute followed the provisions of the "Constitution of the Communist Party of China" and the "Regulations on the Work of the Branches of the Communist Party of China (Trial)", and conducted the election of the new branch committee and branch secretary in a bottom-up and combined manner. This election highlighted the "three modernizations", namely, democracy, standardization, and youth. First, democracy. The will of the Party members was fully respected, and a democratic recommendation vote was used for the first time, with each Party member recommending candidates, and after the approval of the Party committee, the elections were conducted in a secret vote manner, with or equal elections. Second, standardization. The Party committee of the institute formulated the "Scheme for the Election of the Branches" and held a special meeting to arrange it, and each branch paid attention to the reports and requests at each node, to ensure that the election work was carried out in an orderly manner in accordance with the regulations and requirements. Third, youth. The average age of the newly elected branch secretaries and branch committee members was 36.2 years old, which was 10 years younger than before, and a number of young Party members served as branch secretaries and branch committee members, adding youth and vitality to the Party's work of the enterprise.
