Shangyi Institute held a signing ceremony for the "Love Aids Students, Continues to Pursue Dreams" student aid agreement

In 2016, during the "Public Welfare Service I Take the Lead, People's Wishes I Will Fulfill" event in Pingliang Sub-district, the Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery took on the wish of Liu Xingru, a student from a difficult family in Ping San Community, and sponsored her to complete her three-year high school education. Time flies, and in 2019, Liu Xingru had successfully completed her high school education and was admitted to a university undergraduate program, embarking on a new chapter in her life. Upon hearing the good news, the Party Committee of the Institute of Optics and Precision Machinery decided to continue sponsoring her to complete her four-year undergraduate studies, to alleviate the difficulties of this struggling family and to bring hope.

On the morning of August 20th, the signing ceremony of the "Love and Support for Dreams" assistance program was successfully held at the Shanghai Institute of Metrology. The ceremony was attended by Wu Qiuju, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Institute of Metrology, Ji Beichen, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, relevant comrades from the Comprehensive Office, Wang Bei, Director of the Party Building Service Center of Pingliang Road Sub-district, Rong Jie, Staff Member, Zhang Xiaofen, Secretary of the Party Branch of Ping San Residential Committee, Liu Xingru, a student, and her parents.

During the ceremony, Ji Beichen, the secretary of the Youth League Committee of Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, signed a student aid agreement with Liu Xingru on behalf of Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics. Liu Xingru expressed his gratitude for the selfless help he has received from Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics over the past three years during the signing ceremony, and he stated that he would work twice as hard in his university studies, strive for excellent results, and repay the society.

Zhang Xiaofen, the Party Branch Secretary of Pinganli Residential Area, also expressed gratitude for the three-year love assistance provided by the Party Construction Service Center of Pingliang Road Sub-district to the families in difficulty in the jurisdiction. Wang Bei, the director of the Party Construction Service Center of Pingliang Road Sub-district, believes that the carry-out of public welfare activities such as love and assistance by the resident units is an important measure to implement the work of the Sub-district Party Construction Alliance, and thanks the Party Committee of Shangyi Institute for its strong support for the Party Construction work of the Sub-district. At the same time, he hopes that Liu Xingru, a student receiving assistance, can have a heart of gratitude and actively repay the society after becoming talented in the future.

The Party Secretary of Shangyi Institute, Wu Qiuju, extended congratulations on Liu Xingru's admission to university on behalf of Shangyi Institute. She stated that this continuous assistance is a measure of the ongoing "Never forget the original intention, always keep the mission in mind" thematic education, a reflection of the original intention and mission of the grassroots Party organization to seek happiness for the people, a concrete manifestation of taking responsibility, and also the social responsibility that Shangyi Institute, as a company, should fulfill. At the same time, she hoped that this event would serve as an opportunity to further deepen the construction work with the grassroots Party organizations of the streets, consolidate the foundation of the Party building alliance, and do more good deeds and practical things for the residents in the area.

At the end of the ceremony, Pingliang Street, Ping San Community Committee, and student Liu Xingru presented a flag to Shangyi to express their gratitude for the help provided by Shangyi to student Liu Xingru over the past three years.
