"New Exploration of Project Management in Technological Innovation" - Joint Learning Activity of Branches was Successfully Held in Our Institute

On the afternoon of May 31st, a joint group study activity with the theme of "New Explorations in Project Management in Science and Technology Innovation" was successfully held in our institute's multi-functional hall, organized by the third party branch of Shanghai Academy of Science, in conjunction with the general party branch of Shanghai Bearing Technology Research Institute and the party committee of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute. The leaders of Shanghai Academy of Science, Niu Xiaoming and Shi Qian, the deputy director of Shanghai Bearing Technology Research Institute, Li Ruoyan, the secretary of the party committee of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute, Wu Qiuju, the director of the institute, Teng Huaqiang, and the party members of each party branch and the scientific and technological backbone of each unit participated in this study activity.

Vice President Shi Qian delivered a keynote speech to everyone. He first clarified the three different concepts of "project", "operation", and "value", and introduced various models of project management. Subsequently, he combined the actual situation of the two reformed monasteries, and made an in-depth analysis of the content such as "legal liability in project management" and "the principle of incentive in project management". After the report, Director Shi also had an interactive communication with everyone on the practical problems encountered in project management. The atmosphere was very active, and everyone still felt that they had not enough after more than two hours of report and communication.
Afterwards, Comrade Niu Xiaoming summarized this joint group study of the branch. He stated that China's economy has shifted from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development. To achieve this transformation, innovation-driven development is key. As applied research institutes, the two units should take on their responsibilities, drive innovation through scientific research, and serve economic development through innovation, with scientific research project management being an important part of this. The report given by Director Shi closely revolves around this theme and focuses on the weak links in scientific research project management, such as the connection with external resources and the distribution of responsibilities, powers, and interests, of the transformed research institutes. It helps to clarify doubts and should provide inspiration for everyone's work. In addition, the form of joint group study for party members can strengthen the exchanges among branches and units, allowing us to learn from each other's strengths and compensate for our weaknesses, which is very beneficial and should be promoted more often in the future.
