On the morning of May 5th, the Shanghai Institute of科Academy of Sciences held a meeting to announce the appointment of cadres at our institute. The leaders of the institute, members of the Party Committee, members of the Discipline Inspection Commission, middle-level cadres, and secretaries of Party branches attended the meeting. Comrade Gu Jian from the Office of the Party Committee of the Shanghai Institute of科Academy of Sciences announced the list of the new Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission (Shanghai Inst. of科Academy of Sciences Party Committee [2017] No. 21). Comrade Wu Qiuju, the Party Secretary of the institute, delivered a speech on behalf of the new Party Committee, indicating that the establishment of the new Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Commission means an increase in responsibility and pressure. In this regard, he put forward three requirements for himself and urged the new committee members. First, strengthen learning and fulfill duties. Continuously strengthen learning, improve the scientificity and effectiveness of Party building work through innovative work methods. Second, focus on the center and serve the overall situation. Faced with many challenges, lead the thoughts of Party members and staff, and transform the institute's "13th Five-Year Plan" goals into the motivation of all staff. Third, be loyal, clean, and dare to take responsibility. "To forge iron, one must be hard oneself," firmly establish the awareness of self-discipline, speak of Party spirit, understand the rules, abide by the discipline, be grateful to the organization for the cultivation, be grateful to the masses for the trust, be grateful to the Party for the original intention, live up to the expectations of everyone, not be afraid of hard work, and continue to strive to improve the happiness index of the staff. Comrade Wang Xun, the Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of the Shanghai Instrument Institute, delivered a speech, believing that the Party Committee's term change election of the Shanghai Instrument Institute strictly implemented the "Party Constitution" and the "Interim Regulations on the Election Work of Grassroots Party Organizations," fully developed the democracy within the Party, and the election results reflected the will of the people and expressed the will of the staff. He required the new Party Committee to focus on the Party's central work in the process of developing productive forces, not to talk big or empty words, to listen more to the opinions of the staff and the masses, and to adjust the labor (production) relationship in time. At the same time, he hoped that the top leaders of the Party and the administration would work together, not to disappoint the expectations of the Academy's Party Committee, set an example, set a model, and make a contribution.
