Study meeting of the Party Committee Central Group of the "Three Stricts and Three Realities" special education

A special meeting of the Party Committee Central Group on the theme of "Three Strictnesses and Three Realities" was held at 9:00 a.m. on November 5, 2015, in the conference room on the seventh floor of the new building. Comrade Teng Huaqiang, the Party Secretary and Director, presided over the meeting. The leaders of the institute, including Lu Zhibin, Wu Qiuju, and the secretaries of the Party branches, Wu Weihua, Chen Yulin, Ni Rongliang, Qian Hua, Li Hongzhen, etc., attended the meeting.

This study activity revolves around three themes: "Be Strict in Cultivating oneself", "Be Strict in Regulating oneself", and "Be Strict in Exercising Power", each presented by a different leader. The leaders began with a discussion on the understanding of "Be Strict in Cultivating oneself", from the ancient saying "Cultivate oneself, manage the family, govern the country, and pacify the world" to the fundamental requirements of party spirit today, emphasizing that party members and cadres should avoid low-level pleasures, establish correct views on life and the world, and cultivate their realm and morality.
Luouijue, the leader of the unit, shared three ideas on being strict with oneself. First, Party members and cadres should always have a heart of self-discipline, pay attention to their words and deeds, and abide by discipline. Secondly, they should always maintain a clear mind at work, enforce the law impartially, and resist temptations. Finally, he proposed that leading cadres should be brave enough to take responsibility, be competent in their positions, and have the ability to make a difference.
Teng Huaqiang, director of the previous two leaders, expressed full affirmation, and combined with the specific work practice, he talked about his understanding and suggestions on the strict use of power, pointing out that leading cadres should put power into the cage of the system, and must not use power for personal gain in the work, and should govern according to law, and discuss and decide on major issues collectively.
Before the meeting ended, the participants had a discussion and exchange of views, and unanimously stated that Party members and cadres should internalize the "Three Strictnesses and Three Realities" and externalize them in their actions, bear in mind the responsibility and mission of the Party to the Institute of Shanghai, and strive unremittingly for the future of the Institute of Shanghai with the standards of "Strictness" and the requirements of "Practicality".
