Essay Competition of Shanghai Institute of Instruments

The Shanghai Instrument and Measurement Research Institute has launched a writing competition titled "Grow Together - My Story with SIMM". To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the institute, it is calling for old photos, souvenirs, and reminiscence articles from all staff members (including retirees). The staff are required to write about their stories, accompanied by photos, reflecting the institute's difficult start-up and reform and development process.
The Shanghai Instrument and Measurement Research Institute has launched a writing competition titled "Grow Together - My Story with SIMM". To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the institute, it is calling for old photos, souvenirs, and reminiscence articles from all staff members (including retirees). The staff are required to write about their stories, accompanied by photos, reflecting the institute's difficult start-up and reform and development process. This event has invited staff members to serve as judges to evaluate the final 13 selected articles. During the evaluation meeting on October 31st, the judges watched the submitted articles and photos, and as they watched, they "recalled", discussed, and revisited the years they have spent with the institute, as if they had traveled through time and stopped at that moment... The judges carefully considered the articles from the perspectives of theme content, genre structure, language expression, innovation, and highlights, and scored them meticulously to select the first, second, and third prizes. The articles submitted for this competition have been compiled into a book and distributed to each staff member as a memento of the 50th anniversary celebration.
