In order to implement the spirit of the "Notice on Carrying Out the Party's Theme Activity of 'Establishing Image, Creating First Class, and Comparing Contributions'", issued by the Party Committee of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, our Institute's Party Committee has launched a theme activity of "Party Member Demonstration Post" among all party members, focusing on the "Three Leading" and "Three Roles" as the main content, and established a long-term mechanism for the daily education and management of party members through this carrier.

Our institute is a reformed enterprise, and its attributes are different from many units within the system. Therefore, when determining the main activities, we consider more the sustainability, practicality and operability of the activities. Sustainability, there have been many Party-themed educational activities in the past, some of which were arranged and carried out by the superior, and some of which were carried out by the Party organization of the unit in a targeted manner, presenting a phased and short-term nature. Every year, when the Party organization considers the daily education and management of Party members, it often has a hard time designing carriers. Operability, we have formulated the "Party Member Demonstration Post Assessment Form", which refines the basic requirements for the advanced nature of Party members in enterprises into 4 major items and 20 sub-items, and clearly defines the main body of the Party branch, the "three-in-one" assessment method of self-evaluation by Party members (accounting for 10% of the total score), public evaluation (accounting for 60% of the total score), and branch assessment (accounting for 30% of the total score) at the end of each year, and determines the Party member assessment level - excellent, qualified, basically qualified, and not qualified, and selects excellent "Party Member Demonstration Posts" or excellent Party members based on this, and commends them by the Party committee of the institute; for the "abnormal post" with poor evaluation, the branch has a warning talk with it and rectifies it within a limited time.

The Party members of the Safety Management Department have proposed "Diligent service, dare to take responsibility" as their work goal. During the construction of the Shangke Academy Innovation Base, several construction teams have entered the site. They always busy supervising and coordinating on the spot to ensure quality, quantity and safety, and to promote the progress of the project in an orderly manner. They have successfully completed the construction task. The motto of "Diligent work" of the old scientist Chen Junzhang is a true reflection of his silent cultivation on the front line of scientific research for decades, and it is also a reflection of his sense of responsibility to continue to do a good job of "passing on, helping and leading" after retirement.

During the thematic activities, the Party branch of the R&D platform combined the activities of Party members' demonstration posts with the practice of socialist core values, played its own technical advantages, and provided technical support for the National Anthem Exhibition Hall, a patriotic education base. With Party building leading the youth league construction, every visit to the old people invites the youth league members to participate, to inherit the Chinese nation's virtue of respecting and loving the elderly, and to feel the profound connotation of love and filial piety. Since the launch of the activity, "do a little more and do it better" has become a consensus among all Party members. In July, the institute trade union launched a love donation activity for the staff suffering from serious illness. The Party members were full of love and donated generously. 100% of the on-the-job Party members participated in the donation activity. A Party member was stationed abroad for a long time and could not come to the scene, but also entrusted others to contribute his love.
