Celebration of the Institute's 50th Anniversary

2014 marks the 50th anniversary of our institute, coinciding with the completion of the first and second phases of the Yangpu Innovation Base of the Academy of Sciences. This is a precious opportunity for us to summarize the past, carry on the legacy, keep pace with the times, and create another glorious chapter. To promote the 50-year struggle of our institute, the institute's Party Committee has decided to hold a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute's Anniversary") from September to December 2014, and has formulated this plan.

To promote the 50-year struggle of our institute, the institute's Party Committee has decided to hold a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Institute's Anniversary") from September to December 2014, and has formulated this plan.

 

I. Principles and Objectives

Based on the concept of "pragmatism, simplicity, inheritance, and innovation", we comprehensively review history, summarize experience, inherit the excellent culture of our institute, showcase the scientific and technological achievements of our institute over the past fifty years, enhance the centripetal force and cohesion of all staff within the institute, form an innovative culture, accelerate the construction of an innovative and service-oriented research institute, strengthen the connection and collaboration with the same industry units, actively integrate into the work of Shanghai Institute of Industrial Technology, rely on the construction of the innovation base of the Academy, and strive to build a platform for industry leadership and talent exchange between enterprises, further expand and improve the influence and status of our institute in the instrument and meter industry.

 

2. Organizational Structure

In order to ensure the orderly development of the celebration preparations, a special organization has been established with the unified leadership of the Party Committee of the Institute, the cooperation and coordination of various Party branches and functional departments, and the specific organization of the workers' and youth leagues and women's organizations. The celebration leadership group and the working group have been established.

Group members: Zhou Zhibin, Fan Chun, Wu Qiuju

Work group leader: Wu Qiuju

Group members: Secretaries of each Party branch, heads of functional departments, members of each trade union committee, members of each Youth League committee.

 

Three, main methods

The celebration activities mainly consist of three parts: the completion of the base, the promotion of achievements, and a series of activities. (The schedule of activities at each stage, the responsible departments, and the responsible persons are detailed in Attachment 1.)

(1) Base completion

The invitation was made to the relevant leaders of the Institute of Science and Technology to declare the completion of the Yangpu Innovation Base of the Shanghai Academy of Science.

(II) Dissemination of Achievements

1. Establish a website: To comprehensively and timely reflect the scientific research and development, management dynamics, spiritual civilization, and other information within the institute and in the industry.

2. Anniversary Brochure: Introduction of the institute, company and functional departments, as well as scientific research achievements, corporate culture, etc.

3. Achievement Exhibition: The exhibition boards are mainly made of photos and text materials participated by staff, reflecting the reform process, corporate culture and spiritual outlook of our institute, and conveying positive energy.

(III) A series of activities

1. Industry promotion meeting and academic activities. (For specific arrangements, see Attachment 2)

2、“Growth Together - My Story with Shanghai Instrument Institute” Old Photo and Document Collection and Essay Contest: Submit essays in the form of sharing memories of old photos or souvenirs that hold significance in the reform and development process of the institute. Employee participation is invited to evaluate outstanding works, which will be compiled into a book and come with certain rewards. (For detailed rules, please refer to Attachment 3).

3、“Looking Back on the Reform Journey, Looking Forward to a Beautiful Future” – History Education and Symposium for Youth Members: Invite the old leaders of the institute to tell the youth members about the reform journey of the institute and have a symposium interaction with them.

4、Retired old comrades visit the innovation base.
