In December 2020, the project "Standardization Technology Application of Insulation Equipment for Low-voltage Distribution in Smart Grid" of Shanghai Institute of Instrument and Meter was awarded the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Instrument and Meter Society.
The project provides "online monitoring of insulation resistance to ground" instruments and equipment for industries powered by IT systems (ungrounded grids) domestically, offering an alternative to the long-standing dependence on imported foreign products. The relevant products comply with GB/T 18216.8-2015 and GB/T 18216.9-2015 national standards, which are equivalent to related international standards such as IEC-61557-8-2013, and have been generally recognized by users in terms of technical performance, basically meeting the requirements of related industries in China.
In July 2020, the project group began the preparation of the application materials for the "Standardization Technology Application of Insulation Equipment for Low-Voltage Distribution in Smart Grids" project to the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Instrument and Instrument Society. At the same time, the group maintained contact and communication with the Chinese Instrument and Instrument Society, and officially submitted the application in September. During the application review period, the project group conducted repeated verification work on the project content. After multiple review Q&A and material supplements, the project finally passed the review and recognition. The project won the third prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Instrument and Instrument Society in 2020, and the award ceremony was held at the third session of the ninth council of the Chinese Instrument and Instrument Society.
