China Intelligent Instrument Design Competition promotes industrial development

The China Smart Instrument Design Competition, jointly organized by the Shanghai Instrument and Measurement Society, Shanghai Instrument and Measurement Research Institute, and the China Instrument and Measurement Society'sEmbedded Instrument and System Technology Branch, is based on big data applications, integrates resources, and promotes the and development of the industry chain in China's instrument and measurement industry.

It is reported that in order to keep up with the wave of global big data technology development, the Organizing Committee of the China Intelligent Instrument and Instrument Design Competition has established a database of information on contestants, to meet the long-term technical docking and talent introduction of R&D personnel and scientific research institutes, enterprises, to obtain human, technology, sales market and other aspects of resource reserves.

From the successful conclusion of the first China Intelligent Instrument and Instrument Design Competition to the smooth start of the second competition in June 2016, in just one year, the number of contestants in the competition increased from 50 in the first competition to 142, and the number of excellent entries also increased from 31 to 79, among which, the number of physical works increased significantly compared to the first competition!

At present, the second competition has entered the review stage. The number of participants has increased from the first competition, which was limited to students in electronic information, communication engineering, and industrial control, to the continuous influx of technical research机构 and enterprise technical research and development personnel in the second competition, thus setting off a new wave of mass entrepreneurship in the intelligent instrument and meter industry. The works cover a wide range of fields, including intelligent water meters, gas meters, heat meters, and other flow meters, laboratory instruments and devices, electrical instruments and meters, industrial automatic control system devices and meters, etc. At the same time, the competition has hired Director (Professor-level Senior Engineer) Teng Huaqiang of the Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute as the technical innovation mentor, Chairman Zhou Yu of Shanghai Tong Hui Electronics Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Hanhe Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.) as the mass entrepreneurship mentor, and Vice President You Zheng of the Chinese Instrument and Meter Society (Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, member of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, and Vice President of Tsinghua University) as the expert advisor, etc., to provide technical, scheme, and production manufacturing guidance for the participants, ensuring the research and development quality of the competition works.

At present, the competition database has been completed, a large number of excellent talents and technological innovation big data information have been perfected, and the talent and technology docking service in the industry has been better completed. The competition organizing committee hopes that through the establishment of this database, a large number of excellent talents and their innovative works will be better presented, and at the same time, it will also make a positive contribution to the improvement of the R&D and design level of China's instrument and meter industry.
