On the morning of September 7, 2015, at the third teaching building of Shanghai University's Changjiang Road Campus, the "Tang Hui Electronics Cup" Smart Instrument Design Competition, jointly organized by the Shanghai Institute of Instrument and Meter, the Shanghai Instrument and Meter Society, and Shanghai Tang Hui (Hanhe) Electronics in conjunction with Shanghai University, officially opened.

The theme of this competition is "mass entrepreneurship and innovation by all". The competition is rooted in the context of the times of entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as the context of the rapid and sudden development of the intelligent instrument and meter industry in recent years. The competition lasted for 9 months, during which industry experts, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists reviewed the design works of the contestants together. All the excellent works and talents participating in the competition will be included in the talent think tank of the organizing unit and can obtain various supports such as technical guidance, entrepreneurship guidance and investment. The integration of industry, education and research based on projects is a remarkable feature of this competition. The talents cultivated by universities need an innovative platform to break out of their cocoons. Therefore, the three parties achieve a win-win situation through the integration of industry, education and research, and the breakthrough of the competition is the competition platform.
