In order to carry out the theme education of studying and implementing Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, according to relevant work arrangements, on the morning of June 13, 2023, Fang Qin, member of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology, went to Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute Co., Ltd. to carry out the theme education special party class. Tang Wenjian, member of the 11th Municipal Party Committee Tour Guidance Group, attended the guidance, and all party members of the Second Party Branch of Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology, representatives of party members of the Discipline Inspection Office and some units directly under it, as well as all party members, party activists, and democratic party members of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute Co., Ltd. attended the party class.

 

 

With the theme of "Building a strong team of discipline inspection and supervision cadres and promoting high-quality development of discipline inspection and supervision work", Fang Qin combined the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with the great spirit of party building and gave a special party lecture from four aspects: his own learning experience, classic discussions on party discipline construction, the glorious history of the party's discipline inspection work, and the enlightenment of discipline inspection work.

 

 

 

Fang Qin pointed out that the party's discipline inspection work must be carried out under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee; it is necessary to put strengthening political supervision and maintaining the party's political line first; coordinate discipline, work style and anti-corruption work; and create a new realm of party discipline inspection work in theoretical and practical exploration.

Fang Qin emphasized that the discipline inspection cadres of Shanghai Academy of Sciences and its directly affiliated units should follow the requirements of high-quality development of discipline inspection and supervision work in the new era, take the theme education and the education and rectification of the discipline inspection and supervision cadres

as the starting point, focus on supervision, discipline enforcement and accountability, and continuously improve the discipline inspection and supervision work of Shanghai Academy of Sciences by holding special training courses for discipline inspection cadres, training by doing, regularly communicating supervision information, and guiding grassroots units to carry out supervision work in a targeted manner.

 

 

After the party class, Secretary Fang Qin conducted an investigation on the Shangyi Institute Company, visited the institute's history exhibition and Haoshun Company's medical device research and development and production sites, and learned about the development history of the Shangyi Institute Company and the industrialization of scientific research results.
