On the afternoon of June 8, Shanghai Instrument Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the First Party Branch of Shanghai Academy of Sciences carried out a joint study on the theme of education. Following the footsteps of General Secretary Xi, they came to Yangpu Riverside to visit the Green Hill New Era Shanghai Internet Enterprise Party Building Innovation Practice Base.

On November 2, 2019, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out during his inspection in Shanghai: "Whether it is urban planning or urban construction, whether it is the construction of new urban areas or the renovation of old urban areas, we must adhere to the people-centered approach and focus on the needs of the people." Green Hill is designed and renovated under the background of revitalizing the historical industrial buildings in Yangpu, making it an urban riverside complex integrating Shanghai Internet enterprise party building innovation practice base, public green space and public supporting services. It is a vivid practice of General Secretary Xi Jinping's concept of "the people's city is built by the people, and the people's city is for the people" proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the Yangpu Riverside.

During the visit, the first party branch of the Shanghai Academy of Sciences and the party members of the Shanghai Institute of Instruments Company deeply studied and understood General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on "where the network develops, the party's work covers there" through audio and video projection, screen interaction, and listening to explanations; learned about the process, current situation and future prospects of Shanghai's Internet enterprise party building work; and personally felt the characteristics and fruitful results of Shanghai Internet enterprise party building work in the new era.

During the entire learning process, everyone listened carefully to the staff's explanations, stopped to watch from time to time, and exchanged their experiences. Through this "walking party class", the majority of party members of Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology and Shanghai Institute of Instrumentation further realized the power of thought, strengthened their ideals and beliefs, drew wisdom and strength from the innovative practice of party building leading the development of Shanghai Internet companies, and actively participated in the construction of the "1134" scientific and technological innovation system of Shanghai Institute of Science and Technology.
