On the morning of July 12th, Comrade Wu Qiuju, Secretary of the Party Committee of our Institute, braved the high temperature to visit the Party Building Service Center of Pingliang Sub-district, to give a Party lesson to the community branch secretaries, old Party members, and active members. She focused on the theme of "Harmonious Co-construction and Striving to Practice the Socialist Core Values", using the vivid example of Dr. Zhi Bingyi, a veteran scientist of our Institute, who developed "See Words and Recognize Codes" in adversity, to expound the connotation of "Patriotism and dedication"; with the vivid example of Mr. Wang, an old intellectual, who has been donating all of his State Council Government Expert Special Allowance to help workers in difficulty for seventeen years without compensation, to interpret the essence of "Integrity and friendship"; with the comparison of the past and present of urban construction and social development, to see the changes of the country and the progress of society; with the story of the "Six-foot Alley", to discuss the truth that officials should be governed by virtue and be harmonious and tolerant for the people... In short, a civilized society needs everyone's management. Every citizen has the responsibility and obligation to start with themselves, to start with the little things around them, and to practice the socialist core values together. The 90-minute lecture time passed in the blink of an eye. After class, some Party members were still eager for more and had a discussion and conversation with Secretary Wu Qiuju, and hoped to hear more Party lessons full of positive energy.
