On the afternoon of August 13th, the mid-term inspection of the fire protection facilities renovation project of the Shangyi Institute building was held. Ling Xiaodong, Deputy Director of the Finance Department of the Academy of Sciences, Zhu Tao from the Security Department, Zhang Yunko from the Discipline Inspection Department, Wu Qiujie, Party Secretary of the Shangyi Institute, Jia Feng, Deputy Director of the Institute, and relevant functional department colleagues, representatives of the construction unit, and engineering supervision participated in the mid-term inspection.

At the meeting, the construction party representative reported on the current progress of the fire protection facilities renovation, which has now completed two-thirds of the project progress, and promised that the project will be completed on time with quality and quantity. Subsequently, the project supervisor, together with the participants, went deep into the project site to inspect the fire hydrant pipeline, water tank, pump room and other facilities one by one. The project supervisor affirmed the project situation and also put forward some modification opinions to improve the overall quality of the project.

During the recent super typhoon "Lekima" that hit Shanghai, our institute required the construction party to cancel all outdoor operations to ensure the personal safety of the construction personnel. The smooth progress of the fire protection facilities renovation project in our institute's building can be attributed to the strong support from the Institute of Science and Technology of Shanghai, the active cooperation of our institute's property safety management department, and the prevention of any safety accidents during the project. The fire protection facilities renovation will surely be completed on time and passed the acceptance inspection by a third-party inspection agency.
