Afterwards, the research team went to the major scientific and technological infrastructure for synthetic biology research and visited the platform's advanced facilities in the design and manufacture of biological components, artificial cell construction and automated testing. The facility manager gave a detailed introduction to the closed-loop process of synthetic biology research with "design-build-test-learn" as the core, and shared its achievements in international cooperation and technological breakthroughs.

During the discussion session, the research team and relevant persons in charge had a heated discussion on how to deepen synthetic biology research, promote the transformation of results, and strengthen regional industrial linkage, and look forward to forming a good pattern of collaborative innovation in the field of biotechnology in the future.

On November 15, 2024, the 9th China Analytical Instrument Academic Conference (ACAIC 2024) was grandly opened at the Dunhill International Hotel in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The conference was hosted by the Analytical Instrument Branch of the Chinese Instrument Society and undertaken by the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was co-organized and supported by 23 units including Shenzhen Zhenmai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Max Scientific Instrument Innovation Institute. The conference was themed "Next Generation Analytical Instruments" and brought together more than 600 instrument innovation talents from home and abroad, including academicians and experts. The conference set up 12 high-level conference reports, and carried out 10 special forums and more than 100 expert reports around the interpretation of instrument policies, industrial development trends and cutting-edge technology applications. At the same time, there was an instrument and component poster exhibition area to fully display the latest innovative achievements and technical applications of my country's analytical instruments and promote technical exchanges and cooperation in the industry.

Xiangfang, chairman of the Analytical Instruments Branch of the Chinese Instrument Society, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference and delivered a welcome speech. He emphasized that the China Analytical Instruments Academic Conference, as an industry brand conference, is of great significance in promoting the integration of industry, academia and research, the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and industry exchanges, and has built an efficient cooperation and development platform for the industry.

As representatives of the conference, Shanghai Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Institute of Instruments and Meters Co., Ltd. actively participated in various activities of this conference and had in-depth exchanges with experts and scholars from all over the country on the development direction of the next generation of analytical instruments. It is hoped that through the platform of this conference, the cooperation between industry, academia and research will be deepened, more innovative paths will be explored, and contributions will be made to promoting breakthroughs in analytical instrument technology and high-quality development of the industry.

On the second day of the conference, the Spectrometer and Core Components Technology Innovation Forum was held. This forum focused on the technological development and innovation of the next generation of spectrometers and core components, aiming to explore cutting-edge research and key technological breakthroughs in the field of spectrometers.

The forum specially invited many well-known domestic experts to serve as forum chairmen, including Academician Wang Lijun of the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician Zhuang Songlin of the School of Optoelectronic Information and Computer Engineering, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Researcher Liang Jingqiu of the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The experts shared the latest research results in the field of spectrometers and their core components, and put forward prospects for future technological development.

During the forum, Teng Huaqiang, general manager of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute Co., Ltd., exchanged views with Academician Zhuang Songlin. Academician Zhuang Songlin said that the future development of spectrometers needs to pay more attention to the independent innovation of core components, especially in the fields of optical design and high-precision manufacturing, and it is necessary to strengthen the close integration of basic research and applied technology to cope with the rapid changes in international technological competition and industrial needs.
