On September 18, the National Elderly Care Service Promotion Conference was held in Jinan, Shandong Province. The conference adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and instructions on elderly care services, fully implemented the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, studied and deployed the reform and development tasks of elderly care services in the new era, and promoted the accelerated maturity and finalization of the elderly care service system with Chinese characteristics.

On the afternoon of the 18th, relevant leaders of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China and responsible comrades from civil affairs departments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, totaling more than 40 people, went to Youdian Care Foshan Garden Day Care Center to visit and investigate the elderly care work. During the visit, they observed and guided the "Alzheimer's Assisted Screening System" developed by the company.


After listening in detail to the introduction of the system's technical principles, operating procedures and application results in early screening of cognitive impairment in the elderly by the R&D personnel of Shanghai Instruments Institute, the research team expressed that technological innovation plays an important role in improving the quality of elderly care services. It is hoped that Shanghai Instruments Institute will further integrate "elderly care" and "technology" and strengthen the research and development and promotion of elderly care technology products to better meet the health management needs of the elderly.
In the next stage, Shanghai Instruments Institute will actively respond to the "Shanghai Action Plan for Promoting Innovation and Development of Elderly Care Technology (2024-2027)", and strive to develop and apply elderly care service products such as dementia screening, empower elderly care services with technological innovation, open up new tracks for enterprise development, and create new advantages for enterprise development.
