Recently, the Party Committee of Shanghai Institute of Instruments has actively organized party members and youth league members of the company to participate in the "Twentieth National Congress Spirit I'll Contest" science and technology system theory propaganda activities organized by the Municipal Science and Technology Party Committee. This competition focuses on the theme of "Innovation Leads, Strengthening the Country with Me", aiming to deeply study, publicize and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, further strengthen and improve the grassroots theoretical propaganda work, and lead the majority of party members, cadres and scientific and technological workers in the city's science and technology system to better arm their minds with the Party's innovative theories, guide practice, and promote work, and consciously shoulder the responsibility and mission of promoting the construction of Shanghai International Science and Technology Innovation Center and accelerating the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement in the new era and new journey. After careful preparation, the entry of Xu Zhihui, a young party member of the company, "Caring for the Motherland, Being 80 Years Old, Being Towards the Party, and Being Devoted to Scientific Research, Seeing Words, Recognizing Codes, and Writing the Spring and Autumn Period" was successfully selected into the finals of this propaganda competition.

　　On the afternoon of May 15, the final of this competition was held in the Science Hall (International Conference Hall). On the stage of the final, Xu Zhihui, a contestant from our unit, told the legendary life of Academician Zhi Bingyi, former honorary director of Shanghai Instrument and Meter Research Institute, from an intellectual in old China to a scientist in New China, inventing the Chinese character encoding method "Seeing Words to Identify Codes" and gloriously joining the Communist Party of China in his 80s to realize his life's long-cherished wish. She called on the majority of scientific and technological workers to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Party, strive to be the inheritors, practitioners and preachers of the spirit of scientists in the new era, and gather tremendous strength for the construction of a strong country in science and technology. Her speech was detailed and appealing, and was affirmed by the judges. Finally, combined with the online voting, she won the "Third Prize" and "Best Popularity Award" of the "Twentieth National Congress Spirit I'll Contest" Science and Technology System Theory Propaganda Competition.
